Dr. Sybil Madison-Boyd is a systems change coach/consultant with 20 years of experience enabling institutions to achieve positive outcomes for under-resourced youth and families. A clinical and community psychologist by training, Sybil has leveraged her academic training to facilitate the translation of research into effective practice in urban schools and communities.

For almost a decade, Sybil has worked directly with school administrators, teachers, and staff through coaching and professional development to improve instruction, student learning and achievement outcomes through the development of school teams that use data strategically to develop, and implement targeted school-wide plans for improvement.

Prior to her focused school-based work, Sybil was a research assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a research assistant she trained clinical psychologists and social workers, conducted applied and preventive research, provided clinical interventions to children and families, conducted qualitative classroom-based research, and developed school, family, and community-based collaborative approaches to HIV prevention.

Sybil holds a B.A. (with Honors) in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of California.
